Infrastructure deficit across Africa, is impediment to economic growth and development, infrastructure Public Private Partnerships (PPPs) offer viable solution to increasing investment and upgrading existing infra-assets, private sector participation compliments national investments while insulating national budgets avoiding adding more debts, it can also bring about savings and efficiencies as has been proven in many other developing countries. Over the last few years many African countries have adopted the policy of PPPs however their successful implementation is concentrated in only few countries, in this opening session the keynote speaker will explore the key challenges such as:
